Cohort 1 Preparing for Spring 2025
As we proceed into the 2024-2025 academic year, we will implement the cohort process for transitioning from Laulima to Lamakū.
The following is intended for faculty teaching at Cohort 1 campuses (UH Community Colleges and UH Hilo):
- Faculty teaching at Cohort 1 campuses (UHCCs and UH Hilo) have been provisioned with a Lamakū user account and one sandbox course shell, which can be used to explore Lamakū or build new course content.
- Non-instructional Faculty and Staff at Cohort 1 campuses (UHCC's and UH Hilo) have been provisioned with a Lamakū user account.
- Lamakū can be accessed at lamaku.hawaii.edu. UH users select the blue button labeled "University of Hawaiʻi Login."
- Cohort 1 Faculty and Staff may request additional sandbox(es) by submitting the Cohort 1 (UH Hilo and UHCCs) Lamakū Account and Sandbox Request Form.
- A maximum of 5 sandbox accounts allowed per user.
- Once CRNs and faculty assignments are confirmed for Spring 2025 courses teaching faculty will be able to request to have content migrated from Laulima to Lamakū. Migrated content will appear in the user's Lamakū account as a Laulima reference sandbox site. Note: The Content Migration Request form will be available in late September.
- Lamakū training and resources for faculty are available through the UH Online Innovation Center, with additional support provided by campus-based instructional designers.
- Student user accounts will be created as students register for Spring 2025 courses at UHCCs and UH Hilo.
- All courses at the UH Community Colleges and UH Hilo will be offered in Lamakū in Spring 2025.
