Lower-division coursework (first two years) needs to be completed via in-person and online classes at UH West Oʻahu, UH Community Colleges, or accepted as transfer credits from an accredited institution outside of the UH System.   2. Students located on Kauaʻi who are transferring to UH West Oʻahu B.Ed program will need to transfer with an Associate of Science in Teaching (AST) degree from Leeward Community College.
  3. Required field experience in a DOE classroom may be completed at the student's home island.
