Johnny is an Instructional Designer who provides instructional design support across the UH system and supports the iterative improvement of the Preparing to Teach Online module. His interest is in course/web design, online learning, and professional development.

Before
Before joining the UHOIC team, Johnny worked as a Graduate Assistant with the Learning Design and Technology department where he provided student and faculty support. It was during this time that he pursued (and later obtained) his M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa while building his instructional design skills as a part-time instructional design assistant with the UHOIC.

Johnny was born in a small coastal town bordering Macau but has been raised on the islands since he was four. He enjoys playing basketball and occasionally baking goods of any variety.
