Considering AI Tools for Exploration or Instruction? Use the AI Decision Tree!

Did you Know? In early 2024, the UHOIC, in collaboration with ITS Data Governance, developed the UH AI Decision Tree (PDF), an easy-to-follow flowchart for UH faculty and staff interested in exploring AI-based tools and/or incorporating them into their teaching. The flowchart includes links to an overview of artificial intelligence, UH AI recommendations, and important considerations for the ethical use of AI, including how to protect your and your students’ data when using third-party tools. Check it out!

For those interested in additional AI resources and UHOIC AI-focused events, check out the UHOIC Artificial Intelligence (AI) webpage.
