Kapi‘olani Summer Camp 2023 ⛺️

Kapi‘olani Summer Camp is on again this summer from July 31 to August 4, and we’d love for you to participate! Summer Camp is a free, fully online Zoom-based professional development event for higher ed. and K-12 hosted by Kapi‘olani CC. Sessions cover a diverse range of formats and topics from instructional, cultural, health and wellness, and more. Staff, faculty, and everyone is welcome – feel free to invite colleagues, friends, and family who may be interested!

This is a free, Zoom-based (Mon-Thurs) professional development and personal growth event open to anyone. Friday will be in-person at Kaimana Beach Park. All University of Hawai‘i staff, faculty, and admin are invited to apply to present in one or more of our 2023 Summer Camp session formats (see proposal application). Deadline to submit a proposal is May 1, 2023 by 11:59pm HST. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance the week of May 15.

All UH employees are welcome to utilize the fully online, professional development program focused on Digital Accessibility! This is a low-pressure, self-paced learning resource with the option to complete a competency assessment to earn a digital credential. Learn important fundamental concepts of accessibility and how to apply your new knowledge to your digital learning content!

Last year, 45 presenters and 245 participants joined us for this free, Zoom-based event from across Hawai‘i and beyond. We’re hoping to make an even bigger splash this year with some summer professional development for everyone!

We’ll focus not only on this empowering technology but the pedagogy to leverage it for relevant and impactful teaching and learning! Learn about Adobe Spark, Doctopus, Flipgrid, Flippity, Floop, Google Slides “extras,” and Padlet, and more!
