UH West Oʻahu

Description

This baccalaureate program delivered through Distance Education has been established as a transfer program for students who have completed the first two years of coursework (freshman and sophomore) in-person or online at UH West Oʻahu, from a community college in the UH system or from an accredited institution outside of the UH System.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting could help students obtain a career in governmental accounting, public accounting, forensic accounting, and private accounting. The degree also aligns with the educational requirements of the CPA (certified public accountant), CMA (certified management accountant), and CGFM (certified government financial manager); however, each certificate has further requirements that should be completed after graduation. For more details on the CPA licensure in the State of Hawaii, visit the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs website.
