Notes:
  1. A required orientation program is held the week prior to the start of the fall semester. Orientation is held virtually.
    1. The purpose of this experience is to help students make the transition to graduate studies and the professional practice environment.
  2. Supervised Practice Hours
    1. Interns complete their SP hours and competencies among various rotations- Alternate Supervised Practice Experiences, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Outpatient, Food Service Management, Community Nutrition and Elective. It is expected that students will progress through the rotation beginning with simpler tasks and progress to the more complex.
  3. All students must complete the following Degree Requirements
    1. Complete all required coursework
    2. Pass an oral candidacy exam of basic knowledge related to the Nutritional Sciences (Basic Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, Research Methods)
    3. A final examination based on approved Plan B activity.
    4. One (1) semester of teaching assistant experience
